Breeding is a big challenge. It requires a lot of research and focus. While conformation is important to me, breeding healthy dogs is my focus. I study which lines pass on which traits and do my best to breed healthy dogs. DNA testings, x-rays and blood work are only a few of the tools I use to do this successfully. Breeding is a complete commitment. It is a 24 hours a day 7 days a week job. I am constantly rewarded by my poodles by their unconditional love and their loyalty. They are my life and I want them live a long and healthy life.

What being awarded breeder or merit means to me

To be awarded an AKC Breeder of Merit means a lot to me. I am humbled to be recognized for my dedication and advocacy for the breed. The AKC understands the commitment that is required to be a successful breeder. They appreciate when a person breeds conscientiously and within the standard of the breed. I am encouraged to keep working diligently to produce healthy dogs for my clients and also to continue to contribute to the breed in a conscientious way.
